18DBC #11: Proudest Moment

Day 11, wow. Anyways, welcome back to the 18 Day Blogging Challenge, and today is “proudest moment”. I can’t really answer that in one sentence, or one thing, but what I can do is share a moment that made me proud. πŸ™‚

So, last year I was in a chamber choir, which was by-auditions, and we had taken a field trip into the city to sing.

It was an amazing experience, I was very proud when I sang because we were singing in like a government building, or something. Plus we got a tour earlier, which was fun.

I don’t think I can share how proud or happy I was during that time.

First, at about 9:00 or 9:30 we met in the lobby and left. We were split into 2 buses, at first my friend and I were split, but luckily we got to switch. πŸ˜€

After we arrived, we went through security and waited a long time for the tour. After the tour we had lunch (I remember it being really windy!) and went back inside. We got ready and then sang. After that we got water and cookies (I don’t remember exactly, I know it was sweet!) and left for the 1 1/2 hour drive to school where our parents were waiting. XD

Anyways, I’m going to be changing my blog design, and also tomorrow I am probably not going to be doing Earliest Memories, probably something different. possibly a tag?

Anyways I hoped you enjoyed the post! Do you like to sing?

18DBC #10) Life Bucket List

Wow, we are already on the 10th day of the blogging challenge! Today is life bucket list… hmm. I’m just going to do stuff from my Pinterest board, Getaway Goals. I can’t share the link but yeah. Here’s a few of them:

  • Set foot on every country
  • Get my license
  • Be a mother
  • Ride in a hot air balloon
  • See a Broadway musical
  • Spend an entire day baking
  • Release a paper lantern
  • Go on a helicopter ride
  • Visit a chocolate factory
  • Go to a Holi festival in India
  • Go stargazing
  • Go ziplining (I have, but not for real)
  • Go parasailing
  • Spend a day re-watching Disney movies
  • Hold a koala

And that’s it! Well not really, but if I listed everything than this would go on forever. XD

I’m also thinking of changing my blog design back to blue and white. Again. How many times do I have tp change my design? Haha

So see you tomorrow for “proudest moment”. And that’s it, see ya!

18DBC #9) Story Behind the Blog

Ever wanted to learn about the story behind my blog? It’s a long one! Well, if you do, then read on!

So, about December 2016 I was like, obsessed with baby names. One person from the baby names thingy had a blog and I checked it out and was intrigued. I started a couple little blogs (never actually posted much on them though). All I can remember is one crafty blog (on Wix). Anyways I then signed up for a WordPress account, and started a baby name blog. That’s why my original username was something like, “babynamelover”. It’s deleted now, but in March 2017 I came across several other blogs and decided to start my own, Anything In The Wonderful Life. I quit posting on it and totally forgot about it until about September, when I got an email that someone followed my blog! From then on, I started posting on it. Then it became Thoughts of a Fangirl, and now Sparks of Ara.

I don’t remember who that follower was, but whoever I was made me start blogging! XD

This was my original, homemade button! And yes, I forgot the ‘r’ in wonderful.

This was my Thoughts of a Fangirl header, I really like it. πŸ˜€

I had lots of Sparks of Ara headers, and the one below is probably a favorite of mine:

Another one would have to be this one…

And obviously, I adore the one I’ve got as well. Which is your favorite of the Sparks of Ara headers I showed you?

So what do you think of my crazy story? How did you end up blogging?

18DBC #8) Where I’d Like To Be In 10-20 Years

Hey guys! Today’s post is super exciting (and has a long title, XD). I’m going to be sharing about where I’d like to be in 10 years and in 20 years. Although some of it probably won’t happen, it’s still fun to think about. πŸ˜€

So in 10 years, I will have just turned 23. That means it’s been like 8 months since I graduated college, so I’m hoping to be living in an apartment by myself, or maybe with someone else (obviously no kids yet). I might be starting a photography/baking/other business in 10 years.

In 20 years, I’d have just turned 33. I’m hoping to live in the northeast, or at least the east coast. Anyways, I see myself having 2 or 3 kids (preferably 2), with a husband as well, my husband going to work while I take care of my kids. I’d also like to be maybe a photographer, or possibly baker at this time too.

So I guess that’s where I see myself in the future. πŸ˜€ Sorry this was super quick, but fun to read.

Where do you want to be in 10 years? 20?

Have a great Sunday!

18DBC 7: 1-2 Places To Visit

Happy Saturday everyone! Today it’s the 7th day of our blogging challenge, and we’ll be doing 1-2 places to visit. I have one of my places, so let’s start with that. Oh, and…. I’m actually doing 3 places, because I started with 4 and I seriously can’t narrow it down all the way to 2! XD

Indonesia

I would love to visit Indonesia. I did a project with my friend on Indonesia and it’s just amazing. I’d love to visit Jakarta, or Bali. Even Malaysia, which is next to Indonesia. πŸ™‚

Plus, Indonesia has rice. Lots of it. And I love rice. XD

Switzerland

Another place I don’t know why I want to visit, I just do. The mountains, the view, all the photography I could take! Who wouldn’t want to visit Switzerland?

And last but not least…

India!

My best friend’s family is from here and so I’ve learned about it a lot during the time we’ve known each other. I would love to visit here someday! My friend and I are planning a trip here together for when we’re in 10th grade. Doubt it’ll actually happen but keeping my fingers crossed!! XD

So, I think that’s it… the fourth was Australia, but I had to take one out. πŸ˜€

Do you know/like Sparletta? Do you want to go to any of these places? Have you  been to any of them?

~ Ara (okay I really need a header… I’ll make it soon)

18DBC #5: If I Won The Lottery…

Hey guys! It’s already the fifth day of the challenge, wow! Today I am doing an “if I won the lottery” post. Not saying that I will, because chances are that I’ll never win a lottery.

Oh, speaking of lotteries, one time my dad was playing subway surf, and won the jackpot there. XD

Anyways, if I won the lottery, I’d…

Donate some to local charities

Put a lot in my savings

Buy more dolls & doll clothes (what person with dolls wouldn’t say this!?!?)

Give some to family

Go on a trip

Buy a laptop of my own

And that’s all I can think of. Well, also to give some to you awesome readers! XD

I am changing the header soon, most people picked 3, so that is what I will go with for right now. πŸ˜€

And tomorrow is top 5 online friends (I’ll probably end up doing 15 or something) XD See ya!

18DBC #4: Favorite Movies

Heeeey guys! It’s the fourth day of the blogging challenge- favorite movies! I have several movies I love and I can’t wait to share them with you. Oh, and these are in no certain order. Enjoy!

Movie #1) Moana

I absolutely love Moana! Moana herself is amazing and the movie is too. Especially the song How Far I’ll Go. If you haven’t watched it, you really should!

Movie #2) Descendants (& the second)

I love Descendants! It’s basically about 4 “villains” from the Isle coming to a school in Auradon. I would definitely recommend it, it’s not scary at all and the songs are fun to sing along to. I’m looking forward to the third movie. πŸ˜€

Movie #3) Freaky Friday

This is a great movie about a girl and a mom switching places. I love the songs and everything else too. It’s a little sad at some parts, but overall it’s a great movie.

Movie #4) Mulan

I recently watched Mulan and it’s such a great movie. Mulan is amazing and so is the dragon that goes along with her while she’s travelling. That’s all I can really say, but still, if you haven’t seen it I’d recommend watching it!

Okay for the rest of these I’m just going to list them because I’m lazy.

Movie #5) Paddington (it’s hilarious!)

Movie #6) Despicable Me movies

Movie #7) The Grinch

Movie #8) Frozen

I can’t really think of any more movies, but I’m sure there are many I’ve watched but can’t remember. XD See you tomorrow with “If I Won The Lottery” post!

Also I may be posting some non-challenge posts, or replacing those posts. Just shout-outs and other lifey stuff. XD

18DBC #3: Short Stories

Hey guys! We’re at day 3 of the blogging challenge, which was supposed to be childhood favorites, but I decided to change it to short stories instead, because this is much easier than childhood favorites. Anyways, let’s start!

Anyways, this first one is the start of a short story, “Colorblind”.

It’s a quiet afternoon and I’m taking a walk in the woods. I’m completely colorblind, so I only see in shades of grey. Everything looks so pretty, even for being grey. I’m all alone, looking up at the sky, walking around. Everything’s just fine.

Suddenly I hear footsteps. It’s not usual that I see someone walking here, but every once in a while I do, so it’s not unusual. The person comes through the corner. It’s a woman, with light brown hair and blue eyes with a pink and yellow shirt.

Wait, that person is in color. And I am colorblind.

“Carmen.” The women says. How does she know my name? Then I gasp.

“Celeste.”

What did you think of that? I like it, it’s not what I usually write but it’s pretty good. (to me, at least) I think that’s it, the other one I have is creepy so I don’t want to share it (not super creepy but yeah)

Sorry I only have one short story, but hopefully you enjoyed it. Maybe I’ll even continue writing it. Anyways, see you tomorrow for favorite movies! Also possibly a shoutout to Maria and Autumn since I don’t want to wait til I finished the challenge. XD

18DBC #2: What Makes Me Happy

Alright, here’s day two of the 18DBC! Today’s post is all about what makes me happy. So hopefully this post will make you happy and all. Let’s bring on the happiness! Plus it’ll bring some smiles to this Monday! Not that I don’t like Mondays… they are just very tiring. To a lot of people, at least. Okay, moving on…

#1) Little Kids

Don’t you just love to hear the sound of little kids playing and laughing? I know I do!

#2) Ice Cream and Sweets All Around

Ahhh, nothing better than ice cream or delicious chocolates to make someone happy. The picture above makes my mouth water. Yum!

#3) Playing

Okay, this may sound weird, but playing makes me happy? I guess it just makes me think of my childhood or little kids. It’s weird, but I still like it!

#4) My BFF

She makes me laugh all the time, and she’s just awesome. πŸ™‚ Plus she’s so energetic and I like spending time after school with her. (We do STEM every other week and Yearbook every week, and ride the late bus together)

#5) Blogging

I love blogging and all the people I’ve met. I love watching SoA grow! Shout out to anybody who’s still following my blog and is great friends with me! I want to do a post featuring a couple of them, once this challenge is finished.

I think that’s it, sorry for the not-great answers… see you tomorrow with childhood favorites!

Also, do you like the new header? I do! The jewel is from the giveaway bundle I won over at Lula Boo. Go check out Laura’s blog!
