Hi guys! Wow, that felt like a long break, even though I’m ending it early! While I was away, many things changed. So say your ‘welcome back’s, and read on. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Ok, ready?

I have changed the web address (you should see it, but if not: sparksofara.wordpress.com), and if all worked out you should be on it, and if you go to the AWL address it will say ‘we moved’. The posts are still here, so you can scroll through some cringe-worthy posts if you’d like.

If you haven’t seen already, the new name of our blog is Thoughts of a Fangirl! The button will change (and it is actually at least a bit good) and the button page is showing up now, good news.

And… in March (our 1-year-blogiversary) we will be starting a Blogiversary Month series! A post on March 1st should explain more about what it is. And, head over to my contact page if you’d like to collab with me! I have several dates available, so if anyone wants to do that, you may contact me or ask in the comments!

Also, the 50/60 (now 70!) follower Q+A should be posted soon, but it may have to wait til April, I’m not sure. Either way, you can still send in questions here. Also, how do you like the new header? I’m actually proud of it!! XD

To keep things entertaining, I decided to add on to my story, Star, from my intro to a collab blog I’ve joined.

Star

A short story by Arabella

I gazed out the large, round window next to my new canopy bed that Saoirse had set me up with. The dark, navy sky really made the bright stars pop out.

“Hey, Elle.” It took me a second to recognize the voice. Dara? Dara!

“Dara! What are you doing in my dorm?” I shout. She looks… hurt?

“I’m sorry!” she snaps. “It’s awful in my dorm! How can you get this when I get almost nothing!” I glance at her.

“Maybe because you weren’t the nicest to her.” I add.

“Well, I don’t care. I’m gonna give her a lesson!” She replies and pumps her first into her other hand.

“Ya know that if you do, you’ll make it even harder on yourself.” I advise.

“Ulch. Fine. But can’t I talk to her, then? Ask her for more?” she asks.

“No. One, that would be rude. And two, you’ll never find her! She’s all over the place!” I shout, a bit too loudly.

“Yeah, because she’s going on secret mission with the Findless without us? When she promised that we’d be able to start going out with her? And we haven’t been able to yet, after 3 weeks!” I look down at the ground. “Ugh, so she’s letting you and Amira on missions and not me! I thought I’d have fun here!” She sulks away, clearly upset after what just happened.

I look out my window again. This time a bright golden star reflects in the sky.

Suddenly, I gasp. The sign of The Star.

 

I quickly grab my hailer and hail Saoirse. She looks calm, and is smiling.

“What’s up, Elle?” She asks calmly.

“I saw the sign of The Star.” She gasps as soon as I finish.

“Oh no. Not again. Warn the others and bring everyone to my office as soon as you can.”

“On it!” I sprint as fast as I can to tell everyone. This is not good. The Star could attack at any moment if we weren’t careful.

We all burst into Saoirse’s office and she is already investigating.

“Oh, hello! I was just seeing if I could spot the star in the sky. But there’s no sign of it anywhere! Wait, Elle, maybe it could only be seen from east side because that’s where your dorm is. Let’s check the main hall.”

Right as we step out into the hall, a message beeps on our wristbands.

“Intruder” it reads.

We all glance at each other.

“Do you think it’s them?” I ask.

“I guess you’re right.” a cold voice says.

 

Do you like what I have so far? I haven’t had much time to edit it, but I’m still liking it. Also, some changes are still being made on the huge re-vamp and I’d love feedback! Thanks!
